Nostalgic & comedic animatic for the condiments brand
Reviving an iconic slogan from the '70s
Our friends at Wonderhood Studios returned to us for animatic services on their latest “Bring Out The Branston” campaign, which brings back the brand's iconic catchy jingle through a sandwich that telepathically communicates with an office worker during a boring work meeting.
As a brand known for its irreverent humour, the animatic needed to convey the comedic tone and effectively communicate the message in order to get the idea through research.

Using the scripts and shot breakdowns we were given, we simultaneously produced two animatics for research.
After taking the brief, we did initial work out sketches, then once these were approved, we moved into linework before adding colour. Our artist James W, who created the drawings, was chosen because he’s worked with the agency before and they like his style.
We then started animating with the colour frames and added a guide track alongside the VO provided to set the tone.
Factoring in the several rounds of amends at trace, colour and editing stage, we delivered the animatics in around 2-3 weeks.
We’re so pleased that one of the animatics was successful in research and the campaign launched with a 30” and a 10” spot for TV and social, directed by BAFTA-nominated Andrew Gaynord and voiced by comedian Jamie Demetriou.
