Stylish research animatic for Sheba.
The secret to testing with a celeb is simple. Make it believable.
AMV BBDO required a highly finished research animatic for their Sheba campaign. The project required a range of visualisation styles, mixing between pencil sketches, finished colour frames with photoreal finishes and 3D backgrounds.
Once seeing the script, artist Aaron worked on a storyboard, and once approved plotted out the location, figures and cats.
As the agency wanted the movement of the figure to look as realistic as possible, we spent a day at a green screen with a choreographer who helped us capture a range of fluid dance movements.
We then had our 3D team create the room backgrounds and elements using the artists pencils as a template. Whilst the backgrounds were being created Aaron created the highly finished cats using a soft brush to create the realistic looking fur of the cat. The figures we captured in the green screen were used adding photoreal reference of Eva Longoria’s face to make sure that likeness was captured perfectly.
The end result was put together in the edit by our in-house animation team. The finished animatic sailed through research, and we were commissioned by the agency to work on several more Sheba scripts including creating key frames for a route featuring Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks.
