
Sun is one of Unilever's leading dishwashing detergent brands across Europe, with strong recognition in France and the Netherlands. Working again with MullenLowe, we were briefed to produce a series of animatics for Sun's French market campaign, built from scripts that were heavily dialogue-driven.
Because the storytelling relied so heavily on dialogue, realistic lip-syncing was essential to bringing the scenes to life convincingly for French-speaking audiences. Facial expressions and character performances were carefully animated frame-by-frame to match the recorded voiceover, creating a natural, engaging viewing experience that gave the agency and client a true sense of how the finished ad would land.
The animatics were delivered within a two week turnaround, ensuring the final films were completed on schedule and ready for testing.
For dialogue-driven scripts, animatics with accurate lip-sync let agencies and brands test how the writing, performance, and timing will actually feel on screen - well before committing to a full shoot. It's especially valuable for campaigns adapted for a specific market, like a French language version of a wider European brand campaign.
